Yirgacheffe, one of 8 districts in the densely competitive highland zone of Gedeo, is home to Idido. This district, known for its top-quality coffee, is often referred to as "Yirgacheffe." Located just a few kilometers outside of the small town of Yirga Chefe, Idido is surrounded by renowned producers, making it a prime coffee terroir. Mesele Haile manages the processing station and receives cherries from hundreds of farmers in the Idido community. The cherries are floated for density and then placed on drying beds, where they are carefully rotated and covered to protect them from humidity and the scorching midday sun. This lot is a testament to the beauty and complexity of arabica coffee from this region.
